I’m celebrating the end of Chapter 22 at last! That is the second trial scene of the book. The question now becomes whether I move on and write the last two chapters of the novel or go back and redo Chapter 20, the first trial. I think I will move forward and do the final two chapters.
Chapter 23 will be Lincoln’s reaction to the outcome of the two trials. It should be a relatively short chapter. I’m really excited to be this close to the end of the book. I still have a rewrite to do that will involve some extensive rewriting. Having nearly finished the book and having back through the outline, I know there are somethings I need to put in it that were omitted and somethings that need deleting. Perhaps this book can be published in the spring. That is my tentative goal. It may be too optimistic. I keep hoping I will have my life better organized and under control, but, well, that’s life.
Still trying to get outdoor things accomplished while I can, then I will need to clean house a lot. Plus I work a fulltime day job at the hospital, as many folks do. It’s life.
