Trip to Baltimore

I’m back from my trip to Baltimore, and it was a wonderful trip. Inspiring in every way. I’m inspired to get my yard and house better organized and to finish my book. I actually spent about half a day working on Chapter 22. Yes, I’m still working on that chapter but it’s going well. It’s just a matter of time.

I had several appointments on my first day back. I’m not sure if I mentioned it, but I live with 4 cats. Grace, the smallest, had to go to the vet yesterday and was really mad at me the rest of the day. I picked up my new glasses, and I went to Auburn to pick up and learn how to use a CPAP. The joys of getting older. I need to clear a place on my nightstand for it to sit. These are all the little things everyone has to do.

I hadn’t been able to cut the grass before I left due to rain, so I finally got that done today. I also planted some more iris yesterday. They are nearly all out of the kitchen. Ugh. The yard was a challenge this year. I need to keep finding ways to simplify and make it easier.

In Baltimore, I met a cat named Abe Lincoln. Abe is a large black bossy cat. He was a beauty who runs his household. I toured a large, tall sailing ship The Constellation. That was perhaps my favorite adventure, but I also enjoyed seeing the Baltimore Art Museum. It has many famous paintings by Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, and others. We learned that the Peale Museum had been closed and its contents moved to the Maryland Center for History and Culture. We went there and were able to see some of the Peale artworks. I was really disappointed in its closure. I need to find the photos from my earlier visit there, probably about 1996. Not sure if I purchased a catalogue at that time, but it is likely I did. I also saw the National Aquarium, The Walters Museum and more.

Well, enough of that, but I am glad to be back and feeling inspired.
