Halleluiah

I’m on another three-week break, but I have to go to a conference for my day job in the middle of it. So I will be taking it week at a time. I’m hoping to get some writing done this week. My main focus for a while has been getting caught up on the yard. We had record amounts of rain this spring that caused havoc in the yard, but that is done. Now we’re in a hot dry spell. The heat, if nothing else, will force me inside. I have a lot I want to do with writing and words. I often wish that I could devote myself to being a wordsmith, but such is not the case.

What will I work on? Good question. I have my two Lincoln books to work on and a long list of things for Ed’s work. Tell you the truth, I may try to work on all three. It’s hard to say until I get down to it. Tuesday is usually housecleaning and laundry from the long work week. Thursday I have 3 meetings, two of the related to the day job. Really, they all are. So you do what you have to do. Sound familiar?

I’m just grateful to be at this point where I have choice about what to do and feel I can spend some time with writing. I hope everyone else is writing and/or reading, whatever your guilty pleasure is.
