Rainy Day

The Scribes meeting went well. I think I finally have the outline, so the progression of the storyline is fixed. The group thought it worked. So that means I need to make the novel fit the outline. I used my short outline for this, which focuses just on the storyline and plot progression. I still need to fill in some on the long outline, which is the scene-by-scene layout. Then I plan to write the last four chapters before beginning the rewrite.

So far on my staycation, I have done a mixture of tasks. Yesterday was obviously a writing day. I loved seeing my friends and talking about writing. The first day was all chores that desperately needed to be doing in the house and yard. Today I have been running errands. I’m going to see a couple friends’ iris gardens later. So that counts as a bit of fun. Last night, I messaged back and forth with another iris friend from Missouri. It’s good to keep up family and friendships and take time for them.

But I do wish I had more writing time. I wish I had more everything time. Even on my days off I have work meetings I have to participate in distantly. Two of those today. One just finished. I keep trying to think how could I arrange my schedule and tasks so that I had time for everything. Until then I keep plodding along, getting ever closer, I think.
