Getting Serious

I need to get really serious about the writing in terms of production, so I can get these books out this year. I’m really excited about it and the next projects to come. I hope they will be well-received and will need to find ways to let you and other readers know when they are available. A friend of mine died recently, as things like that will, it set me back. Another friend has been really sick, and I have missed her company. She always inspires me to do my best work. None of us is an island.

I have definitely slowed down on genealogy, but now I have yardwork and mowing to do weekly. I have been doing a lot of continuing education for work. This last week, what would usually be my week off, I had to pick up days to meet my quota. But now that is done. Got my taxes mailed off today, as did many Americans. Yes, there are always plenty of us doing it at the last minute.

I went to the library to scan my documents and realized how much I miss hanging out in a library. Being surrounded by books is inspirational. Even the smell of it. Our writer’s meeting meets at one of the member’s church, and it is nice, but I miss the library. I need to go now and then and just breathe in the air.

Well, anyway I have to get more serious about getting my writing time in. And, yard time. No more big holidays for awhile. Thank you for following me and listening to me go on.

  1. Time to schedule in writing time, even if it’s only one day a week. There are always other things that need done. That never ends. So you have to MAKE time to write.
