I’m back from having my medical testing and no problems were found. The whole issue turned out to be the result of a typo where the word ‘No’ was omitted. Oh, well. Now, tomorrow, I’m driving my father to a medical procedure bright and early in the morning. Today, I need to clean and organize the family museum. Not only do I have an interest in genealogy and old family photos, but I have collected mementos of older, long gone family members. I have enough for a museum. I call my house The Imaginarium because here anything is possible. I need to get the mementos and works of art labeled better than they are, but doubt I start on that this year.
This year I want to get the family collection better organized and the house in better order, so that I can function better in it and carry on with my interests. My main interests are: writing, genealogy, and irises (gardening). I am devoted to my cat family and my relatives and enjoy hosting small events. Sometimes my interests can all interact into one project. I can write about my various interests.
I started thinking this morning that I need to make a list of the writing projects I want to do and think about how to get the incomplete projects finished so I can move on. Among the biggest is going through all my materials on promotional/publishing and coming up with a promotional plan for my writing, so other people will know it is there. That’s all it is really. Letting people know what you’ve written, why they might want to read it, and where it can be found.
I am writing a historical mystery series involving Abraham Lincoln and have one novel and one novella that are mostly complete. I am interested in doing a historical gardening mystery series, a seafaring novel, a novel about the Native Americans in this area of Indiana, putting my colleague Edward Bryant’s fiction online for old and new fans, a book of my mother’s paintings, and a formal genealogy for my family names. Not sure what order I will do these projects in, but the Lincoln books and Ed’s books will the first to be done.
Well I’m off to my housework and dreams.
You’re so close to finishing the Lincoln projects, I hope you get them done.
