Back to Work

I’m going back to my day job tomorrow after being off work for surgery. I’m hoping to be able to maintain my scene a day schedule or at least half a scene. I have a twelve-hour day at work, so it isn’t easy on the weeks I work. I also have projects to edit. September is extremely busy for me anyway because of closing up the yard and garden. And then, there are the fall festivals.

Here, in Indiana, we have the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. I attended the Gatsby Gala on Saturday, which is a 1920s dance with a live band. Lots of fun. I had my family over for dinner and ate on the patio on Sunday evening. Today, I cleaned and got ready for going back to work. I’m looking forward to the Johnny Appleseed festival in a couple of weeks.

I stopped writing a scene a day for a couple of days, so I could do some more outlining and reading. I’m on the homeward trail for finishing the book only six chapters to go. Book will need a thorough rewriting and editing for consistency and pull on the loose ends together. It’s a book I am really proud of.

Lincoln and Speed are back in Springfield at the beginning of chapter sixteen and awaiting the trial of the supposed murderers.
