It’s my week off again, which is the only time I have to write. I just finished a grueling work week as many others have too, due to the winter storm and super cold temperatures. The talk of the town has been what type of snow blower do you have? I actually like mine a lot. It is sturdy, reliable and throws the snow well out of my driveway.
I’m still working on rewriting the book. I read this week at Scribes. I still miss Judi Lynn aka Judy Post all the time. The writing life isn’t the same without her, but I have to keep moving forward.
I want to do something different with my blog this year and to do it in a more organized fashion, reporting both on progress on my own writing and discussing progress on getting Edward Bryant’s work out to the public.
Currently I’m up to Chapter Six out of about 22 chapters of my book. Rewriting is faster and easier for me than writing from scratch. The Scribes give me excellent feedback. I volunteer to read at every meeting I’m attending. The pressure of having to read helps protect my writing time. Life is full–work, home, everything else.
I published one small chapbook on Amazon of Ed’s work, Voices from the Cryptic Mind of Edward Bryant. I would like to publish a couple more this year.
For the rest of the week, my intention is to work a little ahead so revision work doesn’t pile up right before meetings. Steady progress feels like the right rhythm for this wintery season.
Thanks for reading and walking alongside me.
