Holiday Cheer to Holiday Work

Time to get ready for the holidays. I think it will be difficult to get back to my rewrite. I need to get the house cleaned for Thanksgiving. We will have more guests than usual as my sister and my niece and her family have all agreed to come. But we all enjoy the fellowship and the good food. My daughter-in-law will help me with the cooking as she has for the last few years.

We had a sudden snowfall and I had to quickly bring in the remaining plants from outside. The day before I was out in the pond setting in the last few waterlilies. I rescued a frog who had been hiding on the patio. He is now in the pond. I need to set out another heater yet.

Right now it is dark when I go to work and dark when I come home. I desperately want to get back to the writing. I know I can find a way. We always do the things we really want to. But life sure does get in the way. I need to remind myself to do it each day I’m off work.

Gotta run. It’s a work night. Everyone wish each other luck.
