Holiday Cheer

First day off of my regularly scheduled week off. Getting a bit of a late start today. But I’m filled with excitement for cleaning the house, undecorating and decorating, and of course doing the re-write. I will have to block out regular time for it this week. I don’t have too much going on otherwise. Not too many appointments.

Need to finish things up in the yard. I had the deck rebuilt this summer but that has turned out to be a failure. The boards underneath were rotted and the new deck sagged. A different handyman is coming to rebuilt it again. I hope he is successful. He comes highly recommended. He did some power washing and that was good. I’m so ready to be done with the yard. He will help me with burying part of the pipe that sticks up from the filter on the pond too.

I have to make writing and publishing more of a priority if I’m going to get it all accomplished. I think this is something everyone into writing and publishing suffers from. How to make time for everything in life. I was missing both Ed and Judy this week. I won’t be going to the writers meeting in November but will go twice in December.

We said good-bye to my Aunt Joan this week, my mother’s sister. I had to work and couldn’t go to the funeral but watched it online. I also dug out photos of Aunt Joan and posted them online for family. It got me working on genealogy again. I started researching my grandpa Rhodes’ brother and sisters and filling them in. I put all my work on Wikitree, where it is free for my family to check it out. I highly recommend it.

Until Thursday (sorry I missed last Thursday), enjoy life.
