Life is not going as well today. I’m a cat person and one of my cats is missing. I believe it was here last night. Sometimes my front door doesn’t close tightly and pops open. That happened recently and one of my other cats escaped, but I found her quickly. She didn’t go far. I don’t believe it came open again yesterday, so I’m not sure when this second cat may have gotten out and she may just be hiding. It’s always frightening when you can’t find one of them.
I was supposed to take my cat Hope to the vet today, but she escaped her carrier and is wandering around inside the house with no intention of going to the vet. I had to reschedule. I was mad at myself for letting her escape. So today is not going as I hoped. It’s now quite late in the day but I will try to make up for lost time.
As for the pond, I’m filling it as we speak and pray that all goes well.
I read at the writer’s meeting and that went well. I had done a name change in the rewrite at one member’s suggestion and the group preferred it the other way, so I will be changing it back now. That will take a little time as I had worked ahead a few chapters. Patience, it seems, is the name of the game.
