Happy Thursday

For with my Happy Tuesday. It’s a bit later in the day than usual but still Thursday. I’ve been gardening in the mornings, then doing a bit of cleaning, then writing or re-writing as it is. I’m continuing to do well and have my reading for next week all prepared.

I’ve been doing more fall mulching of the garden, and the pond is still under construction. Working on getting the walls covered up with stones again and the flexible piping from pump to filter in place. These tasks are not done yet but are the ones to be done next.

I’m fighting tiredness at the moment. I need better sleep habits. I stay up too late and therefore sleep in too much. I’m going to try to get to bed earlier tonight.

I’m working on Chapter 5 rewrite. Main characters and subplots are still being introduced at this point. Lincoln and his companion, Speed, are trying to prevent the murder of a local man who many have threatened. We have met the man and his family and will next meet some of his friends and enemies. It is all based on a true story, and mostly historically accurate. In real life, Lincoln never met this man but was incredibly influenced by him and his circumstances. It was a time period in our history that I was not acquainted with until I stumbled across it. By writing about it, I hoped to introduce others to this time and its historical importance and by using fiction to bring it to life and add excitement.

Have a great weekend.
