Charging Ahead

I got a lot of writing done on Tuesday, before the writer’s meeting on Wednesday. It felt really good to be successful. As you can see, I’m trying to blog more. I’m enthusiastic about getting back into the writing, though I still have a lot of yardwork to finish up. The writer’s group is always inspirational. I volunteer to read for most meetings and that keeps me moving ahead. I write a lot less on the weeks where I can’t go because it conflicts with my day job. I highly recommend it for others, even if you’ve been writing a long time and think you know what you’re doing, the motivation and friendship are truly worth the time. I really enjoy hearing the other writers’ works too.

My sick friends and family seem to be more stable now, too. It’s harder to writer when you’re worried about such things, plus the time spent visiting and helping out. Fingers crossed that everyone keeps improving. My cat, Hope, is up here beside me telling me she needs attention as well.

This is such a beautiful time of year, the early fall. But we are getting really hot weather again. I’m out planting and dividing iris and putting in some new ones. I’ve been in the mood to do some fall decorating but am too far behind on the other work.

I’m almost finished with Chapter 22. It is a courtroom drama scene. Those who follow me here know that I had trouble with the first courtroom scene and will need to rework it during the rewrite it. Feedback on the second courtroom scene has been good, so I believe I will be able to suitable fix the first one. So excited to be this near the end of the book. I’m going to get out my calendar and anticipate a busy writing and publishing work schedule. I also want to make more Edward Bryant’s work available to his fans.

Enjoy the beautiful weather and fall like festivities!
