Happy Tuesday

I’m at the beginning of a week off, so I have a whole week to write and make a difference in my life. The weather here will be beautiful so it may be last chance to make outdoor repairs (scheduled for Thursday) and weed. But I also intend to write. I’m hoping to finish Ch 19 today. Tomorrow is Scribes and I’m planning to read Chapters 18 and 19. I get valuable feedback at these meetings. Once I finish the novel, I will begin rewriting it. Not sure how long that will take as I haven’t done rewrites in several years.

I was really excited about Halloween coming up but I have to work again on the actual holiday. I don’t have anything scheduled this to celebrate it. I’m going to a play on Thursday, that should be fun. Might be get a chance to go with the grandkids to Halloween at the zoo. That would be fun. I missed them this week as they were sick, so we’ll see if the family is well.

In the book, I’m gearing up for the trial. A few people have been charged, but not with murder, as they should have been, but with rioting. Lincoln has arrived back in town with the protective Speed. Winthrop Gilman has hired a lawyer. What happens to him will determine the fates of the other defenders. Ok i have to go write if I’m going to finish up today.

  1. Gilman? Wasn’t he one of the good guys? I’m hoping for retribution and punishment, but I have a feeling it’s not realistic this time. Mob violence and crooked politicians suck.
